I have many loved ones that will never understand self-awareness.
That there are two people inside of you. One that does the talking, and the other, the listening.
Most will listen to the talking without even the slightest discernment.
If you’re on the edge of a cliff, and the brain says jump, will you? I sure hope not.
Many of us are on the edge of a mental cliff daily. Most will jump because they don’t have the awareness to see the cliff.
You are not obligated to do what the brain tells you. If it’s good for you and others, then do it, if not, then don’t.
Easier said than done. This takes work.
It requires you to be thoughtful and compassionate to yourself, an important practice if you are to spread love to others.
More dialogue with the self is the beginning of inquiry, and this is an ongoing journey that can help us live peacefully, or at the very least, with less suffering.
