I buy free-range, cage-free eggs.
I picture happy chickens, wallowing in the California Sun, listening to Bill Withers and two-stepping their feathers away in an open sunflower field.
As much as I want this to be true, it’s not.
At the very least, they must be free-range and cage-free, right?
I can’t say that’s true with certainty either.
Many things in our life carry this type of predicament.
You know, that place where you think you know, but you really don’t.
There are few things that are within my control.
I can point the arrow at a bullseye with zen-like precision, but once it leaves my bow, it’s up to the elements to dictate if I will hit my target.
I spend more time sharpening my arrow and worrying less about the bullseye.
Some things you just have to let go, because you never had them in the first place.
Make a list of what you can control. It’s probably not that long.
Mine are some daily habits that include:
- Meditation
- Exercise
- Healthy Eating
- Open Communication
- Positive Affirmations
- Limiting Social Media
- Journaling
- Reading
- Writing
